In today’s disruptive tech market, skills are much more valuable than a degree as most large corporations such as Google and Apple are hiring employees that can get the job done, with or without a degree.

Glassdoor has a list of companies that don't require degrees but are on the lookout for skills. LinkedIn too has found that many hottest companies to work for is also looking past the degree. Upon further analysis, LinkedIn identified specific positions more likely to be filled by non-college graduates, including electronic technicians, mechanical designers, and marketing representatives.
In the past, students who scored lowly were not considered smart but that has been proven wrong in today’s environment. Steve Jobs and Bill Gates both famously dropped out of college to take their companies to great heights. They achieved success by honing the skills they are good at and taking a chance based on their abilities.
What this means is if you have some serious skills and are keen in proving your abilities, you will have a chance to work in these organisations and even make your mark like how Angela Taylor from Google who moved from HR and became a Google engineer due to her hard work and skills in software development.
